Bu'sen Martial Arts Centre

LUSHERarchitects was involved in the detail design of a new martial arts and fitness centre on the site of a former sea scouts hut.

The building, approved for planning in 2016, was constructed by Woodland construction under a design and build contract.

The building includes two martial arts matts built to Sports England standards with associated changing and support facilities as well a small fitness area for weight training and cardo exercise.

The building has a metal frame and metal wall / roof cladding with the road elevations over-clad in sweet chestnut battens. The lower level section also has a green roof.
